Dynamo
The Dynamo started its life as a single fin or bonzer inspired stubby for the point breaks along the NE coast of the UK. Shortly after, it was adapted to the thruster set up and has been a great success ever since.
The boards have a sligtly straighter outline than a normal shortboard, which gives them loads of speed and drive. The bottom is subtle, proviing clean water flow, also allowing easy rail to rail transitions. Adding a wide diamond tail loosens up the whole package for a board that is superbly versatile, and can be surfed very agressively.
Best ridden shorter than you think, it packs a lot of punch in a small package. My personal board was 5'6"x19"x 2 1/2" and I'm 5'10" and weigh 180lbs. However, they are not a bloaty, fat railed lump either. The rails and tail are thin and progressive, providing maximum control.
Thruster set up only.
$450 clear sanded finish, with lokboxes. Color work, or sprays are optional extras.
