The Gizmo

This is a concept I came up with on my hiatus in 2011.

It draws on several inspirations and blends them all into a compact, yet versatile package. It is a low rocker, medium volume board, designed for average to good conditions. I wanted to design a hull, that would still let me hit the lip, work in every day conditions, yet still have the effortless trim speed generated by the old school hulls.

It features a hull style rolled entry smoothly blending into spiral vee (vee concave) with very modern low volume rails, and a fully bladed out tail. This allows immediate speed, and a very lively feel under foot, while the thin rails provide security in hollow surf. The 2+1 fin set up fits perfectly with the speed of the hull design, and lets the board go rail to rail much easier than the normal single fin hulls.

Sizes from 5'6"- 6'6" and available as a thruster, or 2+1.
